ONF Ambassador, Aris Cahyadi Risdianto, will deliver a lightning talk at FOSSASIA Summit 2021, "Managing Network Functions Like Managing Apps". This presentation introduces the paradigm of "open source" networking with a focus on ONF, the organization that maintains many open source network infrastructure projects. ONF's ONOS (Open Networking Operating System) project is leveraging SDN (Software-defined Networking) paradigm which decouples the control plane and data plane enabling the control plan to be easily softwarized and quickly evolved. Ultimately, the network functionality inside the control plane can be easily installed or upgraded and the network functions managed as easy as managing applications in the computer system.
