A Time for Thanks.

Nov 27, 2013

Dan Pitt shares his thanks for the work of ONF’s membership.

We celebrate a very special holiday each November in the United States: Thanksgiving. The roots of this holiday go back before the founding of our country, and the first national celebration was proclaimed by our first president George Washington. Through all these years, the theme of this day – giving thanks for our bounty – has remained. Each Thanksgiving, we gather together to enjoy the company of those around us, to partake in a celebratory feast, and to give thanks individually and collectively, however we choose. As a holiday that crosses all religious, cultural, and racial boundaries it is perhaps our most popular one.

So on this occasion I would like to extend my thanks to each and every one of you, the family of ONF, for contributing your time, effort, and dedication toward our collective goal of accelerating open, standards-based Software-Defined Networking. Thank you for your hard work in not only making this networking movement a reality, but also for making the journey so rewarding.

And to all who will celebrate tomorrow – have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
