ONF is pleased to announce the release of Stratum: 2020-12-18 (or 20.12 for short).

This release contains many enhancements to Stratum’s support for Intel® Tofino, including support for TNA and multi-pipe programs as well as initial support for the newer BfRt API (which offers advanced features and higher performance). We’ve also modularized the platform interface, which will serve as a foundation for supporting different platform APIs (beyond ONLP) in future releases.

Stratum offers support for 8 different networking targets (ASICs, FPGAs, and CPUs) on over 20 different platforms (switches and servers). Please see the Stratum README for the latest set of supported devices.

Additionally, with the Stratum 20.12 release, the following hardware targets have been recertified by ONF’s Continuous Certification Program:

  • Edgecore AS7712-32X
  • Edgecore Wedge100BF-32X
  • Inventec D5254

Details on the features included in this release as well as pre-built images (Debian packages and Docker containers) are available in the Stratum 2020-12-18 release notes.
