Welcome New ONF Ambassador A-team Members

The A-team is the ONF Ambassador Program’s 5-member body that oversees and manages the program. The team is tasked to ensure that the Ambassador Program runs smoothly and that Ambassadors are fully supported.  The A-team members are directly nominated and elected by the entire ONF community. Our 2020 A-team election results are in and I wish to congratulate and introduce to you our two new elected ONF Ambassador A-team members - Łukasz Łukowski and Scott Swail.

Lukasz Tukowski jpgŁukasz Łukowski is a driven individual having a proven track record of business development, recognizing current market needs, managing and executing product strategies and sales plans. A goal-oriented leader with a high energy level and extensive experience in telecommunications and global markets. Skills and experience include growing business through expansion into new markets, turn around, restructure and build teams, channel and partnership development, P&L management, market analysis and segmentation, strategic planning, executive relationship development and management and operational optimization. One of the first Open Networking evangelists in Europe who has been working closely with open communities and projects like OCP, TIP, ONF, CORD and Terragraph or Express Wi-Fi Programs under Facebook. Active Ambassador of the Open Networking Foundation and focused Regional Lead Manager of the Open Compute Project making change happen in the EMEA region! His ONF areas of expertise are  ONF Organization, Mission, and Strategy, CORD, STRATUM, and P4.

Scott Swall jpgScott Swail is responsible for business development of telecom transmission solutions at Lumentum where he leads the strategy and execution for open, disaggregated networks including Transponder Abstraction Interface (TAI) for open API control and management. Since 2001, Scott has led product development of optical transport and transmission systems and subsystems, and delivered some of the first disaggregated optical network elements to market. Scott has 25 years of datacom and telecom industry experience from IP to optical networking in a variety of sales, marketing and engineering leadership roles. Scott holds an MBA from San Francisco State University. His ONF areas of expertise are ONF Organization, Mission, and Strategy, CORD, and ONOS.

Welcome to the A-team! From the ONF side, Ain Indermitte (that is me :-)) has been appointed to serve as another A-team member.

We also want to thank our three retiring A-team members for their service as A-team members over the past years - Alexis Munyandekwe, Jian Li, and Charles Chan!

Ain is currently serving as Head of Developer Relations at the Open Networking Foundation (ONF), focusing on community leadership, developer tools, training, and member engagement - with the goal of transforming the telecommunications industry through the adoption of software defined networking and open source software. Ain is married with five children and a dog. During his free time, he likes to hike or bike to beautiful places and fly his drones.
